WThis is a simplified interpretation of a beverage from a new cocktail list. This is a party-sized premix that is bursting with the essence of a holiday season, which makes it perfect for a holiday party. Reserve the remaining syrup to use in morning drinks, sweets, or for more rounds of bikinis.

Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar
To make the Premix (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Directions
For the Cordial: Combine all the components in a saucepan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, agitating to dissolve. Then, remove from the heat allowing it to reach room temperature entirely. Pour to a sealable bottle, seal and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for around four weeks.
To make Premix: Mix all the spirits and syrup in a large bottle, leave to sit for an hour, then pass it through preferably using cheesecloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.
To serve: Add 85ml of your cocktail base into your mixing glass packed with ice, and stir gently for a minute to cool it down. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, decorate with a few cranberries and complete it using a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
