Intensive Russian Strikes Cut Power In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and implementing penalties," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets attacked energy facilities, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.

Local officials said the urban area came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor died and three other people were hurt.

The assaults follow nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were preparing for more assaults.
