Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
